Each year the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) compiles its rankings of the top host cities in the world, and once again Montréal ranks first in North America.

We’ve been here before – and while our 2016 ranking saw our belle ville hosting 76 international conventions, 2017’s total continued upwards to 96. Thanks to host spots like the innovative Palais des congrès de Montréal (our major convention centre right in the heart of the action), four world-class universities, an enviable roster of hotels and other venues all over town, Montréal is ready to welcome any event.

Tourisme Montréal’s events team collaborates with international organizations, venues and accommodations across the city, active and involved in every step of the way from conception to the day of. As we like to put it, Montréal works for you – and the proof is in the pudding with the numbers to back it up. In a poll conducted by the Ipsos research firm, 97 per cent of leisure and business travellers who’ve visited Montréal would recommend the city to their friends and colleagues.
