Affordable Montréal accommodation options for sporting events

Montréal has many types of hotel properties. But when it comes to teams visiting the city for sporting events, the most luxurious accommodations are not necessarily the most practical. Realistically, most of the daylight hours will be spent at the sports venue or exploring the sights and tastes of the city. Most teams simply need a good night sleep at an affordable property.

That’s where these reasonably-priced accommodation options come in. At these properties — a selection of university residences and hostels — guests typically have access to important amenities, such as kitchens and washing machines. They also feature common spaces, which are perfect for gathering the team to plan strategies! Some are available during the summer (while students are on break) and some are available all year long.

For big teams with small budgets, here are some low-cost options for accommodations in Montréal.

Les Résidences de l'UQAM Ouest

Located near Old Montréal and Montréal’s convention centre, Les Résidences de l'UQAM Ouest offer many types of rooms: from studios equipped with kitchenettes and private bathrooms to Multi-2, Multi-3 and Multi-4 which include two, three, or four bedrooms with a living room and a dining area. Linens are included.
