With a history of hosting the Olympics and the most iconic hockey team of all time, Montréal is one of the world’s great sports cities. During an average year, our fair city hosts approximately 60 major sporting events! Organizers of sporting events have come to understand that Montréal offers an ideal combination of world-class facilities, dedicated local leaders and an off-the-chart cultural charm factor.

We’re excited about what 2023 has to offer: another year packed with exhilarating sports programming. Here’s a highlight reel.


2023 Six Invitational

For the first time since 2020, this incredible esports event will welcome the Siege family back in the iconic Place Bell, where Ubisoft will reveal their roadmap for Year 8, the next season of Rainbow Six Esports, and crown this season’s World Champions.

2023 U Sports Women’s Ice Hockey Championship

This women’s sports event is back after a pandemic break to determine a national champion for the 2022-2023 U Sports women’s ice hockey season. U Sports’ mission is to give student-athletes and national championships the visibility they deserve.

Diving platforms and springboards join an aquatics party in Montréal as the world’s best divers converge for this world series.

2023 World Irish Dancing Championships

2023 National Open Judo Championships

Jackalope is the biggest action sports festival in Canada, uniting BMX, skateboard, breakdance, bouldering and more. It’s an opportunity for action communities across the world to come together, celebrate their passion and reach the next level.

2023 FIBA3x3 World Tour Montreal Masters (DISTRIX)

Triathlon Esprit de Montréal 2023

Marathon Beneva de Montréal 2023

In an annual gathering of thousands of likeminded runners, this race follows a picturesque course that offers a new and attractive experience every year, aimed at highlighting the city’s many attractions. This year it kicks off on Île Ste-Hélène and finishes at the historic Olympic Stadium.
