Montréal Partners What's New in Montréal

Location is everything. A venue that overlooks panoramic spaces soothes the soul and encourages creativity. With that in mind, here are five Montréal venue ideas where your group will be able to enjoy — quite literally — “a room with a view.”

Penthouse perfection

One of Montréal’s most iconic hotels — the Marriott Château Champlain — recently underwent a massive renovation. Opened in 1967, the Château Champlain was constructed to accommodate the impending travellers visiting Montréal for Expo 67. Today the 36th floor event space overlooks many of Montréal’s most emblematic features: the downtown skyline, the handsome Mount Royal Park, and the majestic St. Lawrence River. A hotel with lots of “wow.”

A view you can dig

When thinking of meeting venues, an archeology and history complex might not be the first thing that springs to mind, but sometimes the best finds are worth digging for. Perched on the Mariner’s House in the Pointe-à-Callière museum, the Montréal 360° Space is one of the most spectacular spaces in the city. The glass-walled space offers an unobstructed view of Old Montréal and downtown. With a capacity for 200 people, the venue is intimate enough to be personable but large enough to make it feel celebratory.

Mountain magic

With its elegant architecture, peaceful surroundings and exquisite panoramic views of the entire city, the Chalet de la Montagne is a natural choice for creating a memorable special event. Keep in mind that the city only rents it for larger events of 300 people or more. With a maximum capacity of 700 people, 9634 sq. ft. of space with 30-foot ceilings and outdoor balcony space overlooking the city, this is a sweet option for big events.

Old Montréal views (with a creative touch)

It doesn’t get any prettier than Old Montréal to hold a meeting. If you’re looking for an intimate setting for your next one, the Phi Centre’s Terrace offers sublime views of, the St. Lawrence River and Habitat 67. Located on the roof of a highly versatile artistic hub that’s constantly buzzing with action, exhibits and creativity, the Phi Centre’s Terrace is ideally suited for intimate meetings of up to 45 people.

Welcome the ships

Fresh and modern, the Port of Montréal’s Grand Quay offers updated marine infrastructures alongside contemporary spaces designed for the enjoyment of locals, cruise passengers, and tourists alike. The new 65-metre-tall Port of Montréal Tower (set to open later this year) will be one of the most sought-after new venues in the city.
