La Grande Roue de Montréal is one of the “must-do” activities when visiting Montréal. Located in the heart of Montréal’s Old Port, the wheel — which is the tallest of its kind in Canada — offers some of the most compelling views of the city.

Designed by renowned Ferris wheel manufacturer Dutch Wheel to specifically enhance Montréal's unique blend of urban style, historical architecture, and natural beauty, La Grande Roue de Montréal sits alongside the majestic St. Lawrence River, just steps away from the cobblestone streets of Old Montréal.

Four-season fun

Operating year round in all weather conditions, La Grande Roue de Montréal features 42 temperature-controlled gondolas, each comfortably seating eight people and with a view that stretches up to 28 kilometres in all directions. Every gondola features anti-UV tempered glass panes on all sides, while the VIP cabin (#42) offers a glass floor — for those who want a more emotionally evocative experience.

Big group? No problem

The team at La Grande Roue de Montréal is accustomed to hosting groups. From corporate outings to elementary school classes to international tour groups, they’ve accommodated all sorts of visitors. Special attention is given to group flow, which limits waiting time and enables visitors to take advantage of onsite amenities.

Onsite fun!

Directly onsite, La Grande Roue de Montréal offers four food and beverage service options: a juice bar, a café, a patio bar, and a bistro. One of the most popular options for groups is to reserve the elevated patio that overlooks La Grande Roue courtyard. From the patio, attendees are able to view Old Montréal, the Promenade du Vieux-Port, and the St. Lawrence River. The site can accommodate up to 150 attendees (for a cocktail-style event), and can be arranged to include tables, sofas, heaters, a DJ booth, and other event requests. Both food service (through the onsite bistro) and liquor permits are possible.
