Les Prix Ulysse: discover the 2017 winners
Organized by Tourisme Montréal, Les Prix Ulysse is an annual awards gala that honours the best tourism initiatives that are implemented in Montréal. Last year (2016) was another exceptional year for tourism in the city, and a large part of this success is due to the efforts of local individuals and businesses that continue to make Montréal shine.
Now, let’s meet this year’s winners.
The following two prizes are given to individuals. Think of them as all-star awards for tourism!
The Bill Brown Award
A recognition given to a leader of tomorrow. The candidate must lead a team and be 35 years or under.
Winner: Vanessa Provencher, Voiles en voiles
The Student Project Award
Recognition of a student for an innovative school project in the tourism industry.
Winner: The team from the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec
TOURISM BUSINESS AWARDS
The next prizes are given to outstanding businesses.
A company that has realized an innovative in-destination welcome strategy to make the experience unique and unforgettable.
Winner: Délices Érable & cie
Destination promotion award
A company that has deployed a marketing initiative to promotes Montréal in a creative and exceptional way.
Winner: Local Montréal Tours
A company that has introduced a new tourism product, tourist offer or technological product aimed at improving the visitor experience in Montréal.
Winner: Montréal en Histoires
Business Meetings and Conventions Award
The company has demonstrated its expertise and creativity as part of the outstanding organization of a meeting or convention in Montréal.
Collaboration between industry partners (minimum two) for the improvement of the tourist offer such as a package, exchange of expertise or knowledge.
Winner: Bernard & Fils Traiteur and Montréal Museum of Fine Arts
Crowd Favourite Award
Voted by the tourism industry at the launch of the summer tourism season event.
Winner: Spade & Palacio
