When it comes to the circus, Montréal is home to some of the world’s most celebrated innovators in the field. Alongside Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Éloize, the 7 Fingers Creation Collective, TOHU and the Cité des arts du cirque, the non-profit Le Monastère Cabaret de Cirque is bringing modern circus to events in the form of cabaret nights and other special presentations catered and created to any specification.

A place for circus performers to shine

Founded by Montréaler circus performers Guillaume Blais and Rosalie Beauchamp, each of Le Monastère’s regularly held Cabarets feature an all-new line-up of world class contemporary circus performers, given the freedom to present their acts as they intend. While their curated performances can occasionally be experienced around town at events like Montréal Complètement Cirque, Le Monastère’s home base at the Centre St. Jax in the stately St. Jax Church (also available for events) puts epic performances in an equally epic space. And Le Monastère is available to create turnkey circus events to suit any taste within these hallowed halls.

Circus anytime, anywhere

Le Monastère’s cast of circus originals are also available for events throughout Montréal, ranging from roving entertainers who’ll mix and mingle while bringing a thrill to your attendees to full shows in the fine tradition of German cabaret. Circus acts throughout an event’s running time – between meal service, or to punctuate a break between presentations – are sure to blow their tops. Step right up, the circus is in town!
