Business Events Montréal is delighted to welcome Karen Carini to the team in the role of Regional Sales Director for the U.S. market. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Karen will be responsible for BEM’s business development in the southern United States territory, from North Carolina in the east to California in the west and she will also cover the Alaska and Hawaii territories.
Karen has over 30 years of hospitality experience specializing in corporate and affinity group travel, incentive travel sales and marketing, and she brings a wealth of experience, contacts and knowledge in domestic and international markets.
After almost a decade with Palace Resorts as Regional Director of Sales, Karen took on the role of Regional Senior Sales Manager for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. She also has experience in the cruise industry, as Account Manager for Norwegian Cruise Line, and in the airline industry, as Marketing Manager for Miami Air International.
A Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and a Certified Incentive Travel Professional (CITP), Karen has always been active in her professional communities as a member and volunteer for Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and for the Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE) Southeast Chapter. She has been recognized by the MPI Georgia chapter with the Shining Star and Phoenix awards, and by SITE Southeast with the Luminary Award and as Sponsor of the Year.
Karen joins our experienced and knowledgeable team of Regional Managers based in the U.S.: Norma Taylor, who is responsible for the Midwest and northwest U.S., and Dawn Eagleton, who covers the northeastern U.S. territory.
