Introducing the Air Canada CleanCare+ difference

In recent months, the face of travel has changed yet some trips are still necessary. To bring both proper precautions and peace of mind to its passengers, Air Canada has introduced CleanCare+, an industry-leading program to ensure end-to-end health and safety on all flights. From check-in to arrival, it’s all covered.

Step-by-step safety

  • At check-in, all passengers will have their temperature taken (contact-free), and check-in kiosks will be cleaned regularly with hospital-grade disinfectant. All customers will be required to wear protective face coverings, and newly installed hand sanitizer dispensers are always within reach. All Air Canada employees will also wear face coverings, plus other personal protective equipment. All passengers will also be asked some simple health questions before boarding.
  • During boarding all passengers and Air Canada employees will wear face coverings. Regular cleaning of gate counters plus additional precautionary health-related questions may be asked before stepping onto the plane to ensure safety for passengers and crew.
  • On board, each aircraft will be sanitized from tip to toe, including special attention paid to seat belt buckles and in-flight entertainment seat controls. Further focus cleaning areas include armrests, cabin windows and shades, overhead bins and handles, ceiling areas, light switches, and air controls. Until June 30, 2020, every adjacent seat in Economy cabin will be blocked to provide additional personal space, and Air Canada flights continue to utilize HEPA filtration systems which capture 99.9% of airborne particles while continually refreshing cabin air.
  • At your seat, all tray tables, headrest covers, personal screens and sidewalls are given a thorough cleaning between flights, including the introduction of an electrostatic disinfectant sprayer as part of procedures. On flights including meal service, bottled water and pre-packaged meals will await you, along with a Customer Care Kit complete with disinfecting wipes and complimentary hand sanitizer.
