From trusted chains to luxury boutiques, here’s some of the biggest hotel stories coming in 2019.

The new kids on the block

Hotel Birks Montréal

Housed in the iconic Maison Birks jewellers store on Square Phillips, the Hotel Birks Montréal is a new gem in the city’s hotel collection. Deluxe restoration to the original 19th century columns and details blended with modern comfort creates a hotel experience unlike any other – it’s like stepping back into a regal Montréal of times gone by. The Henri Brasserie Française promises traditional cuisine both in the on-site restaurant and via room service.

Four Seasons Montréal

The Four Seasons Montréal offers 166 rooms as well as 18 private residences in an architectural eye-popper designed by Carbonleo. Connected to the Montréal mainstay Ogilvy department store and located in the city’s Golden Square Mile, the Four Seasons Montréal promises true luxury at the heart of the city. Plans include three deluxe restaurants, multiple event spaces including a 500 capacity ballroom and an open terrace with epic panoramic views of the city – sure to be one of the city’s unmissable hotel experiences.

Humaniti

A multi-use space that’s part hotel, part luxury housing and a key part of Montréal’s first “smart vertical community,” Humaniti towers over the Quartier International guaranteeing some of the city’s most stunning views. Renovations and restorations your guests will love

DoubleTree by Hilton Montréal Airport

Previously under the Best Western banner and upgraded and renovated by Hilton, this DoubleTree not only offers 169 rooms but 3,250 square feet of meeting space all in close proximity to the airport and local highways connected directly to downtown Montréal. Free shuttle service brings guests to anywhere within a 10 km radius, and every guest welcome comes complete with a warm chocolate chip cookie.

Hôtel le Germain Montréal

Don’t call it a renovation – the from October, 2018, the Hôtel Le Germain Montréal will undergo what they’re calling a “ravishing makeover.” For a start, four new floors bringing an addition 35 rooms will rise over Mansfield Street, promising new views of downtown Montréal. State of the art design promises a cutting-edge stay, be it for a good night’s rest or in one of the Le Germain’s well-equipped meeting spaces. Marriott Montréal Chateau Champlain

A Montréal classic constructed to house travellers coming to the city for Expo 67, the Montréal Marriott Chateau Champlain opened just in time for the fair on January 11, 1967. Over the course of two phases, planned renovations include a once-over of all the rooms, suites and finally public areas and restaurant, but all taking place without close. A beloved landmark enters the 21st century!

Sheraton Le Centre Montréal Hôtel

A planned $50-million renovation to one of Montréal’s largest downtown hotels, will see rooms renovated in two phases (at roughly 400 at a time). Despite the construction, however, the Sheraton Le Centre Montréal Hôtel will keep its doors open and remain a top spot to welcome guests and attendees who want to experience the city’s bustling downtown up close.
