#FIT19 comes to Montréal
Montréal is a hotbed of innovation and creativity in sectors as diverse as aerospace, fashion, neuroscience, AI, oncology, and cardiology, and home to trendsetters and game changers. And as part of Tourisme Montréal’s 100th Anniversary welcoming tourists to our fair city, we’re proud to host #FIT19 (AKA the 8th edition of the Forum des francophonies de l’innovation touristique, or the Francophonie Forum for Tourism Innovation) on July 9-11, 2019.
Paving the way forward in tourism innovation
Founded by the Réseau de veille de la Chaire de tourisme Transat and the etourisme.info blog, the #FIT forum has been pointing the way ahead since 2012. Gathering together 30 digital tourism experts – 20 joining us from overseas – #FIT19 will see the discussion of the latest and greatest tourism innovations throughout the world. Their findings will then be presented to over 300 representatives from Québec’s tourism industries, pointing towards future trends and technologies re-shaping the way we travel.
A city of tourism innovation and education
A major collaborator in the creation of the MT Lab innovation incubator connecting startups and established industry players together, Tourisme Montréal has long been involved in pushing the boundaries in the tourism industry. And the theme of connection continues with the post-#FIT19 symposium “The Challenges of Urban Tourism Offices in the Francophonie” on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the UQAM School of Management (ESG UQAM), featuring a panel of tourism agencies from the French-speaking world. All that’s left to say is Bon voyage!
