The 2018 Canada FinTech Forum is coming to Montréal
With over 3,000 financial organizations based in the city, Montréal is a financial capital on the rise. Last year’s Global Financial Centers Index (GFCI) ranks the city ahead of big players like Frankfurt, Los Angeles, Melbourne and Paris in 14th place internationally – and Montréal’s financial standing continues to rise. Fittingly, the crème de la crème of finance will meet in Montréal for the 6th edition of Canada FinTech Forum at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, the city’s main convention centre in the heart of the city.
Fostering innovation and communication
Hosted by Finance Montréal, the financial services cluster that unites the finance sector in the city, the Canada FinTech Forum aims to identify and develop opportunities for both global financial services and the information technology industries. Promoting Canada’s financial technology expertise internationally, the FinTech Forum also aims to foster networking, raise awareness of new IT trends and bring new talent into the spotlight. By pulling together the shining lights of finance into the same space, the Forum aims to capture trends having major impact on the global financial services and information technology industries.
Looking at the bigger picture
While only 300 attendees can say they were there for the first edition, this year’s Forum expects over 2,500 participants. Bringing together senior executives of financial institutions and IT companies, academic researchers, tech start-ups and service providers, Canada FinTech has developed into an unmissable event for financial innovators. Working in collaboration with Paris-based Finance Innovation, this year’s attendee list will welcome international guests and speakers to Montréal, in the process bringing Canada FinTech Forum to the world stage.
